Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how alphactor.ai (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services. By using alphactor.ai, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign up via a social provider (e.g., Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Billing information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe collects and processes your payment information (credit card number, billing address). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, searches performed, strategies created, and watchlist activity.

Financial preferences: We store watchlists, portfolios, strategy configurations, screener presets, and other settings you create within the Service to provide a personalised experience.

Device and log data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and access timestamps.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process subscriptions and payments.
  • Personalise your experience (e.g., saving watchlists, strategies, and portfolio settings).
  • Send transactional communications such as billing receipts and account security alerts.
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve features and fix issues.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may receive or process your data:

  • SupabaseAuthentication and database hosting.
  • StripePayment processing and subscription management.
  • Polygon.ioMarket data provider.
  • FinnhubMarket data and financial information.
  • Google AnalyticsWebsite usage analytics.
  • VercelWebsite hosting and delivery.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Essential cookies: Maintain your authenticated session and remember preferences.
  • Analytics cookies: Understand how visitors interact with the Service (via Google Analytics).
  • Advertising cookies: Used by Google AdSense and Google AdMob to serve and measure ads, including non-personalized ads when you opt out of personalization. See the Advertising section below for details.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdSense on the public website and Google AdMob in our mobile apps to serve advertisements to free-tier users. Subscribed (paid) users do not see ads.

  • Google AdSense (web): Google and its third-party vendors use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your prior visits.
  • Google AdMob (mobile): On iOS and Android, we use Google AdMob to deliver banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect a mobile advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and standard device data to measure ad performance. On iOS we honor the App Tracking Transparency prompt — if you decline, only non-personalized ads are served.
  • Consent management: For visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions with consent laws, we display a Google Funding Choices consent dialog the first time you visit. You can change your consent at any time by clicking the privacy icon in the bottom-left of the page.
  • Your choices: You may opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads), the YourAdChoices opt-out tool (https://optout.aboutads.info/), or your mobile device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Subscribing to Pro or Premium removes ads entirely.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security in our database, and secure authentication flows. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes). Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.
