What it checks

Tracks corporate aircraft in the air via OpenSky live snapshots (the successor data feed after ADS-B Exchange went paywalled). When a ticker's jets cluster their airborne days, something is happening at the company — go long for a short event window.

Mechanism

Corporate jet airborne-day clusters (>=2 days in 7d) on ticker-mapped aircraft (OpenSky icao24 joined to corporate_jets_lookup) signal unusual executive travel — historically associated with M&A, regulatory briefings, board meetings, and management distraction events. Short-event-window long captures the price response on the resolution.

No production champion data for this family yet. Stats appear once the discovery pipeline promotes at least one strategy with this family tag, or once a multi-family blend that includes it earns a champion slot.

Signal rule

>=2 airborne days in a rolling 7d window for ticker-owned aircraft (OpenSky on_ground=false AND geo_altitude>=1000ft) -> LONG on T+1 of the cluster's first crossing; hold 5 or 10 trading days.
