Tracks corporate aircraft in the air via OpenSky live snapshots (the successor data feed after ADS-B Exchange went paywalled). When a ticker's jets cluster their airborne days, something is happening at the company — go long for a short event window.
Mechanism
Corporate jet airborne-day clusters (>=2 days in 7d) on ticker-mapped aircraft (OpenSky icao24 joined to corporate_jets_lookup) signal unusual executive travel — historically associated with M&A, regulatory briefings, board meetings, and management distraction events. Short-event-window long captures the price response on the resolution.
Signal rule
>=2 airborne days in a rolling 7d window for ticker-owned aircraft (OpenSky on_ground=false AND geo_altitude>=1000ft) -> LONG on T+1 of the cluster's first crossing; hold 5 or 10 trading days.
